Michael Emlaw served as a Michigan school superintendent for thirty years before accepting a position as Associate Executive Director of the Michigan Association of School Administrators (MASA). Following three years of service to MASA, providing contract, legal and legislative counseling to Michigan school administrators, Dr. Emlaw established a consulting practice specializing in school and education legislation.
Donald Wotruba is currently Director of Legislative Services for the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB). He specializes in state legislation, advising all Michigan school districts and representing them with the executive and legislative branches of government. Mr. Wotruba served as a legislative staff member and his background includes university degrees in public administration and public policy.
Nancy Stanley most recently served as the Legislative Liaison for the Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association (MEMSPA). Prior to that she was an Associate Executive Director for the Michigan Association of School Administrators (MASA) where she managed and implemented legislative services for Michigan’s school administrators, working with state government officials and local school superintendents. Ms. Stanley is a former teacher and has also served as a policy analyst for the Michigan House of Representatives.
